James Madison’s immortal words, in our Bill of Rights, assert the right of the American citizen to defend himself as fundamental to the maintenance of his safety and freedom.  It is this right that serves as the basis of all others and their ultimate safeguard.  It was the assertion and exercise of this right, by the brave men and women of Madison’s time, which won our country its independence from the British Crown.  And it is the exercise of this right today that maintains the fundamental freedoms of the American citizen.

We are a family owned fine jewelry manufacturer in New York. While our state has some of the most restrictive firearms laws in the USA, it is nonetheless our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  We believe that our project in designing and building this jewelry can be a gentle reminder of this fact, and aid as we exercise our rights as citizens.

We chose this name as a reference to the 'cold bore' shot, referring to the first shot out of a clean barrel. While the barrel is cold, it can be difficult to anticipate where a shot will land. As the barrel warms up with subsequent shots, accuracy and predictability improve. As a new project, we thought the name was both elegant and appropriate.

All of our jewelry is made in our workshop in New York.  We manufacture by hand,
using traditional techniques. While perhaps less perfect than milling or
machining, it gives our pieces a character that a skilled craftsman leaves in a piece when he has finished it  We take pride in the work that our hands do here, and any piece which fails to meet your expectations or with any defect in quality will be replaced by us or refunded at your choice.  The nature of fine jewelry is to bring joy, and if for whatever reason one of our pieces fails to do this we will make it right without question.
